The Canada Celebration is Sunday, August 3, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm in Room 150, just before the mission trip report at 6 pm. Please make plans to join other parents, students, and sponsors for this reception and mission report.

PACKING LIST

You can check one bag, not to exceed 50 pounds and an additional carry-on bag. (Remember: You will be carrying your own luggage from place to place.) CARRY ON--In your carry-on, pack what you will need for one night, including at least one change of clothes and any medications or items that you need to survive if your luggage does not arrive with you.

CLOTHES

  • 10 - 11 changes of modest clothes appropriate for 50-75 degree weather
  • 1 nice dress outfit for Sunday (dress/skirt for girls, collared shirt for guys)
  • 2 Pairs of walking shoes (break in new shoes before you leave)
  • Light jacket/sweater
  • Sleepwear (suggestion: bring ear plugs also)
  • Baseball cap (for sun or bad hair days)
  • Rain poncho or small umbrella

TOILETRIES

  • Shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush
  • Hair dryer
  • Shaving cream/razor
  • Light make-up (be sensitive to cultural settings)
  • Contact lenses/solution & extra case and/or glasses
  • Sunscreen & insect repellent
  • Kleenex
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Women - feminine hygiene products (just in case)

PERSONAL MINISTRY TOOLS

  • Bible, journal, and pen
  • Tote bag or backpack for day trips
  • Alarm clock
  • Camera/film (and extra camera battery)

PERSONAL FIRST-AID KIT (Put travel-size amounts into Ziploc bag)

  • Personal medications in prescription bottle (let Jason Rogers know of any medical issues) and vitamins
  • Anti-bacterial hand wash
  • Bandages and Neosporin ointment
  • Aspirin or ibuprofen
  • Anti-histamine
  • Pepto-Bismol
  • Cough drops
  • Imodium tablets

SNACKS

  • Beef jerky, peanut butter, nuts, granola bars
  • Gum/candy
  • Pumpkin seeds/gum for Josh
  • Folgers Coffee Singles (if you like coffee)
  • Bring various size Ziploc bags

THINGS TO DO

  • Cash (have $40 worth of $1 and $5 bills) No more than $100
  • Credit Card (just in case)
  • Give passport to Jason Rogers
  • Place travel money in money belt or neck pouch
  • Get all medical release/insurance information to Jason
  • Pack a copy of passport and visa page in each piece of luggage
  • Give itinerary and emergency plan to family members
  • Give out prayer guide to your supporters
