Educational Opportunities

Children’s Music Leadership Summit

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Nashville produces an annual Children’s Music Leadership Summit to effectively motivate and inspire leaders in their efforts to communicate the love of Christ to children through music.

Held annually on a Saturday in January, the Summit provides an opportunity for children’s music leaders to glean exciting insights which proves to be a real boost in their efforts to impact children through the medium of music.

Dr. Madeline Bridges, Barbara Sanders, Dora Ann Purdy, and Carol Dickerson are just a few of the leaders who have shared hands-on sessions targeted to make better leaders and reachers of children. The sessions include teaching rhythm, using instruments, teaching singing skills, choral techniques, and positive discipline. The Summit has also featured the Preparatory Choir of the Nashville Children’s Choir Program as a Demonstration Chorus.
