Celebrate Recovery - Every Friday night, 30 to 40 people gather for encouragement to tackle their hurts, unwanted habits, and persistent hang-ups. You are welcome to join us every week, or as you can. The first hour is a large group with worship and teaching or a guest testimony. The second hour is an opportunity for you to be in a small gender-specific group to listen to others or to share your story. It can be a great time of encouragement.
Volunteers are always needed as greeters, to set up 6:15 p.m., or to help with refreshments at 9:00 p.m. for 20 or 30 minutes. Join us for this powerful ministry!

First Baptist Nashville maintains two funds to assist people in crisis.
One is the benevolence fund. It is for members and employees. Contributions are received when the church participates in the Lord's Supper. A deacon committee oversees the disbursement of funds. Contact the Minister of Pastoral Care, Rus Roach (rus.roach@firstbaptistnashville.org), for more information.
A second fund is the crisis fund for nonmembers. Persons requesting assistance should call 664.6000. The missions committee oversees this ministry. Monies are received for this fund at church concerts and other special events.
First Baptist Nashville has started numerous churches in Nashville and beyond over its 190 year history. Recent church starts include Thompson Station Baptist Church in Thompson Station, TN and Crossroads Community Church in Franklin, TN. The Church of the Messiah (primarily an African-American congregation) and Primera Iglesia Bautista are both in Nashville..
