Dr. J. Scott Bennett will be featured in a dynamic concert on the magnificent fifty-nine rank Schantz organ at First Baptist Nashville, Sunday, September 12, 2010, at three o'clock in the afternoon. He will also take part in the 10:30 a.m. Morning Worship Service on that day.

Dr. Scott Bennett's organ performances have been described by The American Record Guide as "outstanding" and "characterized by complete assurance in technique, tempo, and registration." Dr. Bennett earned the Bachelor of Music degree in Organ Performance from Stetson University and the Master of Music degree in Organ Performance and Literature from the prestigious Eastman School of Music.

He also studied in Cologne, Germany, and continued doctoral studies at Eastman, completing his doctoral studies at the University of Memphis. He was Associate Professor of Organ and Theory at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, before assuming the position of Organist-Choirmaster at Grace Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Bennett has performed extensively throughout the United States in church and academic settings.
