Bible Drill is an intense, challenging, and super-fun semester geared to help preteens develop skills to navigate, memorize and apply the Word of God. Each independent year, preteens memorize 25 Bible verses, the references of 10 key Bible passages, and the order and location of all 66 books of the Bible. Combined with dinner, themed nights, and large group game time, Bible Drill is a total thrill!

If you have a 2012 missions booklet, you may have seen that once a month we focus on a local ministry that needs our help. January is for the Christian Women's Job Corps (CWJC). The collection bins are located at the main entrances to the building. Please bring your items and place them there.
CWJC needs: paper goods; small snack boxes – fruit, crackers; half gallon fruit bottles, etc. Grab an extra couple of items on your trip to the store and drop them off at church. This ministry is well deserving of our support.
Join us for a month of music, recreation and Bible study on Sunday afternoons in January.

Can’t seem to find something you’ve been looking for? We have many things we’ve been collecting in the office that may have been lost by you and found by us. Some of these items include reading/eye glasses, Bibles, articles of clothing, and much more. We are sorting through and donating or tossing things at the end of every month.
Did you make a New Year’s Resolution to get involved? What about getting involved in missions?

“NOT Ashamed!” is the theme for this year’s Missions Get-Together and Connection in Gatlinburg, March 23 – 25. It will be held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, which is just down the street from the Clarion where we already have convenient hotel reservations. This is an event for all our women and also our girls in grades 7 – 12. It begins at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 23, and concludes after the worship service on Sunday morning, February 25.
Registration fee is $50, which is paid by our WMU. Registration is due by March 2. Cost for those going will be two nights’ lodging plus several meals.
To sign up, contact Letty Gossett at 371.3870 or lettgo38@att.net, or you may contact Sharon Herrera at 773.5219 or sendsjh@yahoo.com.
On Sunday evenings through March we will host 28 men and women in our Recreation Center from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m. We will provide dinner, breakfast, and a sack lunch. Volunteers staff this ministry—primarily our Sunday School classes and departments.
In addition to opportunities to serve through your class or department, individual volunteers are needed to help occasionally assist classes with set-up, meals, overnight “inn-keeping,” and laundry. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and individuals to donate part of an evening in ministry.
Children and youth are welcome and have helped frequently. Room In The Inn is a mission effort directed to those literally at our doorstep. Hebrews 13:2 reminds us to show hospitality to strangers and that by doing so, some have entertained angels. Come join! You might meet an angel!
There are 20 Sunday nights that we serve our guests. Please notify Rus Roach with which nights your group can help. A full list of responsibilities is available in the Main Office or by clicking here. Call soon to reserve your dates!
