Parents, consider coming together to support and encourage
each other as we try to lead and shape our teenagers in their pursuit of who God wants them to be.
11 sessions—Servant Warriors is a one-hour men’s exercise class led by our senior pastor, followed by a short man-to-man talk about the spiritual issues facing men of all ages. This fall, all you’ll need is a 10-pound medicine ball and the desire to look and feel better! See you at 5 p.m. in the Rec Center.
7 Sessions—Join Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Priscilla Shirer in a women’s Bible study recorded live at the Orlando Deeper Still Conference.
While these three women each speak on a distinctive topic the Holy Spirit had them to teach, the messages result in a marvelous blend. Kay challenges us to faithfulness in trying times. Priscilla points to the essential of trust in God’s ability, and Beth teaches on how to discern truth from error in these difficult days.
8 Sessions—Aging is a certain future for all of us. In this eight-week program we will take a proactive approach to aging. It is designed to increase your understanding of the aging process and hopefully enable you to embrace the process.
The focus of this class will be on the physical, biological, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and social changes in the aging process. Several guest speakers will be part of the discussions to provide insight and expertise.

This is a serving ministry aimed at providing safety and security to our church membership and guests during Sunday morning and Sunday evening activities. Members are asked to serve one Sunday a month in one of the security areas. The committee is composed of qualified church members who are in good physical health. We want to make sure that all members of the committee are well trained in building security procedures by providing the necessary basic training twice a year (the next one will be in October). We welcome male and female volunteers to serve our church.

For over 25 years, the homeless population in Nashville has been assisted in the winter months through the organization Room In The Inn (RITI), and for 24 years, First Baptist Nashville has been a partner alongside their service.
Currently, it is preparation time and we are collecting new or gently used twin bed sheets and wash cloths. We have plenty of towels but if you have some new ones to donate then we can replace some well-used ones. Isn’t it great to sleep on new fresh sheets or have a great new towel when you step out of the shower?
Our guests deserve no less than our best when they stay with us.
Help us provide the best for them with your donations in August.
If you have any questions, contact Rus Roach at 664.6021, rus.roach@firstbaptistnashville.org.
