Ages 2 - 92 | June & July | Library
Book Recommendation: Do you know anyone whose first name is Colton? Anyone whose last name is Burpo? Those are strange names, but what happened to Colton Burpo is even more unusual! Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy’s Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back is a true story about a 4-year-old who spent some “time in heaven” during an operation. Parents, get this book today and read it with amazement and joy! Decide if you will tell the story to your children, read the book aloud to them, or provide for their personal reading. We have two copies of this best seller in our library.
Second & Fourth Monday of the Month | 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Room 370
All women of the church are invited to our bimonthly Missions in the Morning women’s group meetings, starting August 22. The purpose of this group is to conduct worship, develop strong Christian relationships, share the Word of God, and take time out to work on a mission project or with a group in need. Join us every second and fourth Monday of the month from 9:30 to 12:30, in Room 370. This fall, we will begin a mentor study called The Life Ready Woman by Shaunti Feldhahn. With God’s love and help, and encouragement and guidance from our mentors, we will continue to reach out to one another and our community.
For questions or to RSVP for childcare, contact Becky Clay at rebeccaclay@bellsouth.net or 353.6647.

Wednesday Nights | 6 – 7 p.m. | Through August 3
Families with children ages entering Kindergarten – completed Sixth Grade are invited to experience Club VBS at Fannie Mae Dees Park, better known as “Dragon Park.” Children will create, sing and play using LifeWay’s Club VBS curriculum.
Can’t meet us at the park? Elementary age children may ride our church’s shuttle bus to the park with children’s ministry leaders. We will meet in Room 370 each Wednesday night at 5:30 p.m. and return at 7:15 p.m. Permission forms are required for children riding the shuttle and will be available at sign-in. One of our reasons for moving off-campus is outreach.

Welcome Bradfords! The Bradfords will reside in our missionary residence from July 6 through January 2012. Scott and Julie Bradford along with their three children, Andrew (18), Miranda (16), and Corrine (14), have been serving with the International Mission Board (IMB) for nearly 10 years.
During their tenure in West Africa, Scott served initially as a Business Facilitator for nearly two years before moving to Church Planting among the Fulakunda people for six years. After about five years as church planter, Scott and Julie divided their time and served as both church planters and church planting trainers for the West African Region. Over the past two years, Scott has assumed the role of Cluster Strategy Leader for the Central Sahel Cluster. This region of Africa includes nine countries and nearly 300 million people and 1,100 people groups. Scott and Julie work hand in hand leading, training and encouraging IMB missionaries.
