Service of Word and Table

NEXT SUNDAY | 8:15 a.m. | Chapel

You are invited to participate in a worship time focusing on the Words of Scripture and the Lord’s Supper. Join us in the Chapel at 8:15 a.m. NEXT Sunday, August 7. Led by our senior pastor and other lay volunteers from the congregation, you’ll find this to be a spiritual growth opportunity. Childcare is provided for babies through four years of age in Room 270D.  

 

Student Ministry Date Night

First Baptist Nashville Students are invited to attend “Date Night” on Wednesday, August 3, at 6 p.m. in the Youth Room. Everyone will enjoy dinner together and a concert by James Tealy. We’ll also take time to commission our departing seniors and recognize our upcoming seniors. Please make plans to attend! Creative Hands

First Thursday of each month  |  10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Room 460  |  Next Meeting – August

We are holding monthly meetings for women of all ages to create handcrafted items that will spread God’s redeeming message throughout the world. We’ll make evangelism dolls for local and world missions and create yarn-covered crosses. All skill levels are invited to come for an hour, or the entire time.

Club VBS will culminate with an outdoor block party at Fannie Mae Dee’s Park, better known as “Dragon love.”

 

Advancement Sunday

Sunday School teachers and leaders, Sunday School Advancement Day is Sunday, September 4. This is the first day our new Sunday morning Bible classes go into effect! It’s an exciting day! Be ready and prayerful for your new students and contact us for needs you may have! Please contact your new students in advance of September 4, as well as the parents of your children to help welcome and transition them smoothly.

Student Fall Retreat

October 14 – 16 | Thompson Station

Students, join us at the 2011 Fall Retreat! This retreat is a time for all students in 7 – 12 gradse to come together for a weekend of God encounters, fun, and fellowship together at the Deer Run Retreat Center. Students will arrive back at the church on the morning of October16 in time for worship. Keep your eyes open for more details!
