Fellowship/Fitness Walk

Saturday, April 30 | Owl Creek Park (City of Brentwood Parks & Recreation)

Brief Prayer: 8:55 a.m.
Walk begins: 9:00 a.m.

Join fellow members of First Baptist Nashville as we walk for fellowship and fitness on Saturday, April 30. We will gather for a time of brief prayer at 8:55 a.m., with the walk scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. Bottles of water and nutrition bars will be made available.

Owl Creek’s walking trails include a 3/4 mile outer loop and a 1/2 mile inner loop. The paths are paved, except for the boarded marshy areas. This activity is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. We want to see you there, whether you are a runner, a seasoned fitness-walker or just in the mood for a casual stroll! Owl Creek Park is located in Williamson County along the east end of Concord Road, between Concord Pass and Chestnut Hill Road. This event is sponsored by the First Baptist Nashville Recreation Committee.  

 

First Women Craft & Crop

Saturday, April 30  | 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.  | Cost $1

We are excited to begin our bi-annual all-day scrapbook and craft day for First Women! Come to scrap, knit, sew, craft or just visit with friends. Cost includes continental breakfast and lunch. Please bring a favorite drink and snack to share. Childcare is available from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. by reservation only. Invite a friend and RSVP today!

Youth Camp Registration

Don’t forget to register and submit your $50 deposit for Youth Camp (June 5 – 10) in Panama City Beach, FL!
Registration and payment is available online OR through the Student Ministry Office. Total cost, including deposit, is $250 per student.

 

National Day of Prayer

Thursday, May 5

Join us as we participate in the National Day of Prayer. We’ll meet in the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. for a time of corporate prayer. Our Chapel will also be open from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for a time of personal prayer. First Baptist Nashville will provide a water bottle and a TBL coupon to those attending the YMCA prayer gathering at Bridgestone Plaza. Be a part of this great day! Volunteers are needed for water bottle labeling and distribution on May 5.

Creative Hands

First Thursday of each month  |  May 5  |   10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  |  Room 460

We are holding monthly meetings for women of all ages to create handcrafted items that will spread God’s redeeming message throughout the world. We’ll make evangelism dolls for local and world missions and create yarn-covered crosses. All skill levels are invited to come for an hour, or the entire time.

Represent First Baptist Nashville at the Southern Baptist Convention June 14 – 15 in Phoenix, AZ, at the Phoenix Convention Center. Let us know of your intention before May 29. Pre-registration has begun and your name will be presented at our June 1 Business Meeting.

Donate Old Stamps

Please donate your old stamps (before 1960) to Stamp Collectors on Mission. More recent international stamps may be received also. Donated stamps become the property of the church for missions education. Stamps may be brought to the church office, or contact Sim Hassler at 419.7678 or Rus Roach at 664.6021. Let’s create the best stamp collection ever for any church for missions! Donate before June 30!

 

VBS Volunteers Needed

June 20 – 24  |  9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Grab a cab and get ready for fun! As kids explore the big city, they’ll learn how to step out in faith and connect with Jesus. Tour Guides are needed at all the sites—from Bible Study at Battery Park to Midtown Snacks!

Celebrate Recovery Volunteer Opportunities

Fridays | 7 – 9 p.m. | East Building , Room 10

Our attendees have shown great interest in this ministry and we need your help to keep it going. We need greeters, refreshment hosts, set-up help, a computer/PowerPoint assistant, and smiling faces. There is a place for you on Friday evenings—you can come early from 5:30 to 6 p.m. to help set up and greet, or you come for the meeting at 6:45 p.m. and stay as long as you can. The actual meeting time is 7 to 9 p.m.  Attendees are finding a safe place to share their struggles, and you can share the love of Christ with them. Please consider volunteering.
