Meet Josh Crosby
Your Minister to Students Search Committee enthusiastically recommends Josh Crosby to serve as Minister to Students at First Baptist Nashville. Josh met our students, parents, and youth workers this weekend and was introduced to the congregation on Sunday, March 5.
We voted to extend a call to Josh Crosby as our new Minister to Students during a called business meeting on Sunday morning, March 12. Josh and Sally will begin their work at First Baptist Nashville in early April.
Josh Crosby graduated from Baylor University in 2001. He has a business degree with a double-major in marketing and real estate. He is currently wrapping up his last semester at Truett Seminary and will graduate with a Master of Divinity in Theology. Josh has been in youth ministry for nearly six years and has enjoyed every bit of it. He has been around church ministry his entire life due to the fact that his father is in ministry. Josh’s dad, Dr. David Crosby, is currently the pastor of FBC New Orleans and has been serving there for 10 years. His father led him to Christ and has been instrumental in his life as a young minister.
FAMILY
Josh married his college sweetheart, Sally, August 3, 2002. Sally graduated from Baylor with a degree in telecommunications. Josh and Sally have one son, Jackson Joshua. Jackson is 2 months old and enjoys eating, sleeping, and crying.

• Afflicting students who are spiritually stagnant.
• Equipping students with the skills necessary to preach the good news with great actions and humble words.
• Involving students in mission opportunities, meeting physical needs, giving an ear to listen.

Who has been an influence on me?
David Crosby – My father has been the biggest influence in my life as a man and as a minister. He is a proven leader and great teacher of the Bible. He loves people and people love him. He continuously seeks to show Christ to the lost people of New Orleans. I hope to be half the man he is.
Rick Warren and Doug Fields have played a big role in the way I see ministry. Having focus and purpose for every facet of what we do in ministry can be the difference in reaching the lost and enabling discipleship for the next generation.
Andy Stanley and John Maxwell have influenced me in my call as a leader. I have a great passion in being a great leader and my knowledge in that subject will never be enough.
Dale Dvorak – Another great man who has been an influence in this area is my father-in-law. Dale (aka Dubs), a West Point graduate, is a proven leader in his career and in the churches he has joined. He currently consults companies in the execution of goals and any dreams the company may have (www.strongleader.com).
