End of the Spear chronicles the true account of five missionaries who lost their lives as they spread the Gospel to the Waodani tribe in Ecuador. The story doesn't end with their tragic death though ...
Fifty years ago five American men, including Jim Elliot and Nate Saint, lost their lives attempting to befriend Auca tribesmen isolated from the world in the upper reaches of the Amazon basin. Their young bereaved wives courageously took up the work that their husbands had set out to do. They returned to the jungle with their babies, and learned the language of the Waodani, “the people,” reaching hearts with the grace of God’s Word.
Steve Saint, the son of missionary pilot Nate Saint, narrates the film, and now he and his family live with the Waodani, the same people who murdered his father. This heroic tale of love and forgiveness is vividly brought to life on the wide screen in End of the Spear. A series of events unfold to change the lives of not only the slain missionaries' families, but more importantly in the lives of the Waodani tribe.
The film will be released nationwide by Every Tribe Entertainmenton January 20th, 2006, the 50th anniversary of the killing of the missionaries.
