An extraordinarily expressive performer and intelligent musician, Paul Jacobs unites technical skills with emotional artistry. Mr. Jacobs will be featured in a dynamic concert on the magnificent fifty-nine rank Schantz organ at First Baptist Nashville, Sunday, September 25, 2011, at three o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Jacobs studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and at Yale University. He has won numerous competitions and received a 2010 Grammy Award for Best Solo Instrumental recording, the first ever for a solo organist. The Juilliard School named him chairman of the organ department in 2004, one of the youngest faculty appointees in the school's history. continue reading »
