We had fun around every corner in the big city during VBS 2011: LifeWay’s Big Apple Adventure! Our tour guides and tourists connected faith and life through Bible study, crafts, missions, snack, recreation and music. This year’s motto was “Hear it! Believe it! Connect it!” with Romans 10:17 as our theme Bible verse. Our Bible stories focused on Jesus’ connection with people as He taught about faith, love, trust, others and life.
We saw God work in amazing ways during VBS, and there is great news to report. Our total enrollment for the week was 340! We had $703.96 given to our offering for Graffiti Baptist Church and Graffiti 2 Community Ministries in New York City. Our children also collected 35 bags full of school supplies for our mission project. The most exciting news from this amazing week ... 11 children trusted Jesus as their Savior!
Thank you to everyone that made this year’s VBS possible. Your faithfulness in prayer and serving continue to make an eternal impact on the lives of our kids. Our Children’s Ministry is blessed.
