This familiar hymn text sums up the goal of learning in the Children’s Music Ministry for 2010–11. In this year of emphasis on the Bible at First Baptist Nashville, our children have been learning songs based on the Scriptures. The children’s choir leaders did a study in Nehemiah in January to learn how important each “section of the Wall” is to the whole.
At each level, beginning with the Music Activity for Fours and continuing through the sixth graders in Young Musicians, dedicated leaders are helping place sections of “the Wall” that guides children to understandings about the “Wonderful Words of Life.” Children are learning their “piece of the Wall” through singing music chosen to meet the needs of their age levels and are now ready to share what they have learned with their church family.
