You know that our Room In The Inn (RITI) ministry provides meals and sleeping arrangements every Sunday night November through March. Did you also know that our ministry continues on Mondays? Each Monday, we have someone to wash, dry, fold and reshelf all the linens, towels, and scrub suits that were used on Sunday nights.
Since I began enlisting persons to do this for the 1993 – 1994 year, 130 different persons have served in this ministry. It may be individual men and women or parents and their children. A special thanks to everyone who has spent hours at this, even if it takes most of their days.
Bill and Mary Todd Young and Julia Smith have volunteered each year. Others have participated one year up to 17 years. I am grateful to these who have served with a true servant heart.
Heads up—when fall comes, you may get that phone call! I feel blessed as these respond with “yes, I can do that.”
