Thank you for faithfully supporting your church and the Lord's work this summer through attendance, inviting friends, welcoming newcomers, and contributing financially. Our children, students and adults have participated in many camps, missions, and Bible-outreach opportunities. I've seen kids make first steps and grow in their faith, and share Christ with others--to a large extent because of your generosity and faithfulness!
NEWS AT FIRST BAPTIST NASHVILLE
Sunday School: We are gearing up for the fall program! Advancement Day is September 5, and teachers are enlisting and preparing even now to welcome Bible students and guests. It's a NEW YEAR of opportunity to reach others for Christ.
Under Construction: It's the theme of our August 12 Sunday School Leadership Dinner. Make your reservation now for dinner at 6:00 p.m. with all age-group teachers and leaders of our Sunday School. Jeff Young, education pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, who also grew up in First Baptist Nashville, will be our guest speaker. Our church neighborhood is under construction, and we all are under construction for Christ as we seek to be closer in walk to Jesus Christ. Plan to be with us!
Business Meeting: Our Property Management Committee, Finance Committee, and Building Bridges leadership is recommending the engagement of the HH Architects firm to assist the church in strategic and master planning work. Funding for this project is recommended from Building Bridges gifts. Be present Wednesday, August 11, at 6:10 p.m. in Fellowship Hall for this exciting presentation and recommendation as we grow forward, built upon 190 years of making a difference for Christ in Nashville!
