"If Jesus were on earth tonight I believe he would have come to our home," said our daughter-in-law on December 25, 2004, after a family of Sri Lankan friends departed from the traditional family Christmas she hosted.
We had surprised her only a few days earlier with the request to include this family newly arrived in America to join our celebration. What a joy for the whole family to get involved with people from the other side of the world!
We are home missionaries with a call to reach Nashville's international student population for Christ. A strength of our ministry is the potential for whole families to be involved.
InterFACE Ministries stands for "International Friendship Activities and Cultural Exchange," which opens the door to relationships that can involve people of all ages. These students include undergraduates, grad students, visiting scholars and researchers, some of whom are married and have children. There is someone everyone can relate to.
It's easy to do - invite them to picnics, 4th of July celebrations, church, and meals. First Friends is a monthly friendship ministry, EAT involves hosting a meal from one to six times during a school year, and playing soccer with student. Anyone interested may contact us at cap3105@bellsouth.net.
