First Baptist Nashville members are encouraged to be part of a Season of Prayer that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. We are asking members to commit to pray for one hour a week, the same hour each week, for the seven weeks of the season of Lent.
Our prayers will be focused on spiritual renewal for our nation, our community and our church.
Here's the way it works:
- Sign up for the hour and day of the week you will commit to pray. (You will pray on that same day of the week and during that same hour for each of the 7 weeks of the Season of Prayer.)
- Every week you will receive a call or a text message from the person who prays immediately before you to "pass the prayer watch" and you will begin your hour in prayer. When you are finished, you will call or text message the person immediately after you.
A printed Prayer Guide is available from our Pastor's Office to assist you in your prayer.
You will be surprised how fast the time will go by. More significantly, you will be blessed by spending this hour in prayer along with your church family.

*If you prefer to do so, your family can sign up for an hour to pray together. This is especially encouraged if you have children at home who would like to participate. Others who pray together weekly with a prayer partner may also sign up for a time during the Season of Prayer.
