Building Bridges 2010:
Everyone Reaching Someone for Christ

It's hard to believe it's already been three years since we launched Building Bridges by walking from our sanctuary one Sunday morning to hold a special time of worship and prayer on the Pedestrian Bridge overlooking our city's skyline. It was a special day that allowed us to think beyond our walls about the city God has called us to reach. I'm still convinced that no one has a more clear mandate to share Christ in our city than we do, nor a better opportunity to do so.

Since that morning when we joined our hearts and hands together, we've built lots of bridges. There are the children and families we've interacted with at the Mayor's Back-to-School Bash, the hospitality we've shown to thousands of people who've come downtown for parades and fireworks, mission commitments in the United States and abroad, support to those in career transitions, outreach projects to neighborhoods around us, new connections with the business and arts communities, and much more. In each effort, our awareness of the ongoing commitment to reach people for Christ has been elevated.

Now, as we enter into the final year of the campaign, there's still much to do. Thanks for your faithful giving in these past three years that has made each bridge possible. Let's pray for a strong finish in 2010 as everyone reaches someone for Christ!
