Our Advent Season feels like it's been given a "New and Improved" touch this year.
Christmas at First, Keyboards at Christmas, and Carol-Candlelight Celebration under the direction of our new Worship and Music Pastor Joe Fitzpatrick provide some of our favorite features from years past combined with new ways for us to embrace the joy of the season. I'm looking forward to seeing you at each event as we worship together. These times of worship are perfect times for you to invite a friend, neighbor, or co-worker to join you. Please help us reach out to our community with the good news of Christ!
Last December, I felt led to share a sermon made up entirely of scripture passages. Our beloved former pastor Dr. H. Franklin Paschall began this tradition as a part of his ministry. Dr. Paschall's love for the words of scripture inspired me to me select several of my favorite passages and memorize them for my message. I'll share this message again on Sunday, December 20, concluding this year's Advent sermon series.
Finally, don't miss being a part of our Christmas Eve Services of Carols, Candles, and Communion. Both services are planned to provide you with an option that fits your schedule best. Our Sanctuary Service is at 5:00 p.m. and a service in the Foyer is at 8:00 p.m. Communion is served at both services. If you are in town, please bring your family and invite others to join you who may not have a church home.
Church family, it is a joy and an honor to be your pastor. God has been very good to our church this year and I can't help but be encouraged as we look forward to a blessed and spiritually-rich 2010.
Let's remember the Reason for His Coming!
