The Advent Devotional Guide will be ready for you on November 29, the first day of our Advent season. Most of our members are familiar with the print version, containing 27 devotionals written by First Baptist members and heartwarming contributions from our preschoolers and children. Did you know there's also an online audio version? Several members have worked behind the scenes to record each devotional for your listening pleasure! Our Advent theme this year is The Reason for His Coming. As always, the devotional topics follow Pastor Frank's Advent series of sermons, which will explore four reasons for Jesus' coming to earth as a humble baby. God sent Jesus, His only Son, to accomplish the purposes that only He could do: to destroy the works of the devil, to take away our sins, to reveal God the Father, and to prepare us for a second Advent--Christ's eventual, triumphant return.
Be sure to secure your copy of the Advent Guide and open it every day to read the inspiring devotionals your fellow church members have written to help you draw closer to Christ as we celebrate His birth and redeeming work in our lives.
