Fall Festival 2008

by Joy Fisher, Childhood Ministry Committee member

Grab your calendar and draw a big circle around Saturday, October 25! From 3:00 to 6:00 that afternoon, the gated parking lot behind the church will be alive with the sights and sounds of the 2008 Fall Festival.

The Childhood Ministry Committee is busy planning activities for preschoolers, children, teens, and adults. Come try your hand at ring toss, a very unusual obstacle course race, and fishing at Noah's Ark. Watch the kids enjoy the inflatables. Volunteer to paint faces or serve hot dogs. You might even dare to give a karaoke performance or challenge an opponent to race the clock and try to toss more footballs into the back of a pickup truck than you can.

As we gear up for this fun family event, we need your help! You can:

  • Volunteer to staff a booth for 30 minutes or more (Sign up in your Sunday School class or contact Joy Fisher at jfishnet@bellsouth.net or 781-9876.).
  • Please bring bags of individually wrapped candy to the preschool and children's areas through the month of October. (these will be used as game prizes).
  • Plan to invite at least one guest! The Fall Festival is a great opportunity to introduce some new folks to First Baptist.

See you at the Festival!
