Frank and to the Point

Pastor Frank Lewis

Summers at First Baptist Nashville are always filled with exciting opportunities for personal growth and ministry opportunities. Vacation Bible School, Youth Camp, Crosspoint, and various Mission Trips that carry our people across the street and around the world are on the calendar and in our hearts as we take a break from the routine patterns of life for the summer. I hope you will find your place to be a partner in the gospel of Christ with your church family this summer.

Keep your eyes on our Wednesday night detours as the Fellowship Hall closes after June 25 for renovations. We will have our regular Wednesday night schedule throughout the summer, but will meet in the first floor of the East Building with a catered meal each week while our kitchen and fellowship hall undergo a needed face-lift. Expect a grand-reopening in September, but until then, join your church family for the temporary new location and make a memory!

I hope you will begin praying now about First Baptist Nashville's "Go and Show" efforts this summer on the nights when First Baptist Nashville lives out what it means to be the church scattered in the neighborhoods all around middle Tennessee. We want you to take advantage of these nights when no activities are scheduled downtown to find a creative way to connect with neighbors and friends in your community. A complete listing of dates and suggested activities will be provided in the next issue of The Evangel. "Go and Show" is a practical way for us to begin living out the idea of Loving God, Loving People, and Making Disciples. Pray about your involvement today, and look for details in the coming weeks.

See you Sunday!
