Our church has approved six priority areas for upgrading our facilities. Fidelis (Room 150) is nearing completion making it a first class conference center. Work is progressing on our young adult Sunday School area (Room 370) which will have larger classrooms, new walls, ceiling, lighting, carpet, doors, and video monitors.
We will soon upgrade our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade departments with new furniture, ceiling, lights, and paint.
You'll notice changes in Fellowship Hall during June--then, the REAL changes in July and August. We plan to install two new video screens and projectors, upfit the rest rooms by the drive-thru, enlarge the serving area by the kitchen in order to provide for more seating in the hall itself, make the entry steps safer, provide a permanent storage area next to Broadway, new lighting, ceiling, carpet and wall coverings.
During First Night in May, Pastor Frank exhorted us, "WE CAN DO THIS!" And we can! During July, Thursday Business Lunch will close until the first of September, before re-launching with a new look, new feel, new program in the new hall! Wednesday evening dinner and prayer meeting in July (and possibly August) will be held in Room 100 of the East Building--because the kitchen will be closed, we will cater meals for Wednesday suppers. We will need a good count of people planning to attend so we can order the correct amount of food--more opportunity for us to participate and say, "WE CAN DO THIS!"...
