Forty-three children and 10 adults from FBC Nashville arrived at Crosspoint for five days of learning about God, using sports and Bible studies as teaching tools. Our group was there with about 10 other churches at Crosspoint, held on the campus of Carson-Newman College June 23 – 27. From flag football to swimming to tennis and more, our kids learned more about their chosen sports while applying Bible truths about faith and about how God is their friend and will always be there for them. The week’s key verse was Jeremiah 29:11. Making new friends and sharing stories, the group played hard, listened well and learned a lot. The cafeteria’s unlimited soft-serve ice cream machine was also a big hit.
Led by Children’s Minister Connie Hartzell, counselors in our group were Randy Atkins, Ronnie Boling, Bob Bunn, Carol Bryson, Brad Dunn, Bill Greer, Susie Roberson, Suzanne Robertson, and Jim Schremmer.
