Frank and to the Point

Two important growth opportunities are coming for the men of First Baptist Nashville and they are right around the corner. The first is Men’s Fraternity. We’ll begin a new year of Men’s Fraternity this fall on Tuesday mornings going back to the first study entitled Authentic Manhood. If you have already been through this material, please consider facilitating a small group. If you missed this study three years ago, now is the time to sign up!
Men’s Fraternity will also meet at the Bellsouth building downtown as a part of our Building Bridges strategy. We hope to engage men from our community by offering the study in that location. Look for more information including a start date in September in an upcoming issue of the Evangel or by visiting us online at www.firstbaptistnashville.org.
The second opportunity is a study that I am designing myself. It’s called Servant Warriors and will take place on Sun-day nights from 5:00 – 7:00 this fall when we launch our fall programming (SMART, DT, etc). Servant Warriors is a physical and spiritual conditioning course for men of all ages. We’ll be using a unique exercise routine that involves a bokken (a wooden Samurai sword) for the first part of the night, followed by a men’s Bible Study designed to strengthen the spiritual core of every man involved. Regardless of your fitness level or present workout routines, the Servant Warrior workout will challenge and strengthen you physically and spiritually.
One important change concerning Mark Edwards’ retirement celebration: we’ve moved the date from the last week-end in August to the last weekend in September. Save the date! We’ll give you details soon.
