Building Bridges Update

Task Force 1

Invite, Discover and Connect! TF 1 is helping all of us focus on the importance of Sunday School: building an Army of Ambassadors to reach our city for Christ. Are you actively participating in a class and reaching out to invite others?

Task Force 2

TF 2 has provided evangelism training, particularly in preparation for the Luis Palau CityFest. Also, one of the most demanding servant ministry projects our church participates in—the Habitat for Humanity build—is on the calendar for September.

Task Force 3

Downtown Nashville is buzzing with “new”: residences, business tenants and events, including the Luis Palau CityFest on May 19 – 20. TF 3 is building a vision and strategy of ideas to reach out to our old and new downtown neighbors. We’re also looking forward to identifying the person God has in mind to serve as our new Downtown Outreach Minister.

Task Force 4

It isn’t too late to plan to participate in the Downtown Prayer Walk on Saturday, May 12, to pray over our city in preparation for the Luis Palau CityFest. Also, if you haven’t completed the Missions Survey in your Sunday School class, you may do so this coming Sunday or online at www.firstbaptistnashville.org.

Task Force 5

TF 5 Leader Scott Hatcher is enlisting leadership and advisors for specific areas related to our church’s finances, stewardship, existing and future property needs and leadership development. Initial planning meetings and follow up assignments are expected to begin this month.
