In January of this year we officially began implementing our Building Bridges Mission Strategy. Since that time your Task Force Leadership Team and Staff have been busy putting things together to be faithful in the work God has given us. Two new Sunday School classes have begun as a part of our commitment to build a caring community of faith. We have completed our first Evangelism Training Event as a part of mediating the transforming love of Christ. We are responding to several new opportunities that are enabling us to connect with people who live and work downtown, and in the month of May our ministerial staff along with two members of our Building Bridges Leadership Team will attend the Church of Irresistible Influence Conference in Little Rock to help us plan and dream of additional ways to be effective in our mission as a church. The passport drive is providing members with an opportunity to be ready for international missions as God opens new doors for ministry. Staff expansions that will have a direct impact on our efforts to Build Bridges are now underway. In short, what we said we would do, we are doing; what we committed ourselves to on the bridge overlooking our city is beginning to become a reality!
