Crow’s Corner

PRAISE THE LORD for another new year, new beginnings and new opportunities! We are thankful to have reached and exceeded our church Lottie Moon Offering goal for international missions. We are thankful for the faithful giving and serving of FBC members throughout 2006 to support the Lord’s ministry here, to reach people for Christ, to help believers grow in their faith and to care for those in need. We are thankful for you!

BUILDING BRIDGES is an exciting opportunity for each of us in 2007. Please pray for the Task Force leaders that were introduced during worship on Sunday, January 7. You may want to volunteer your service to these leaders. You will notice your new offering envelopes contain an option for Building Bridges gifts—now is the time to begin these contributions over and above your tithe. These gifts will provide for new ministries in the downtown reach of FBC!

OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL growth is of utmost importance in 2007. We’ll continue to meet with leaders and Sunday School groups, evaluate, plan, train, and reach out to Nashville.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 4 is the first 2007 gathering of adult division Sunday School teachers and directors. I hope you will be present for this important noon/early afternoon session of evaluation and planning. Our children’s division Sunday School leaders will join us for lunch and the early part of meeting before they convene separately.

JACKIE AND I are so grateful for you, your welcoming spirit, prayers and friendship. We have purchased a home in Brentwood, moved the week before Christmas, and survived to tell about it—Praise the Lord! Thanks so much for your many expressions of kindness. We look forward to ministry alongside you!

REACH, TEACH, CARE—we are on mission for Christ!
