2007 Deacon Nominations

Each member of First Baptist Nashville is encouraged to nominate fellow church members to serve as deacons beginning January 1, 2007. Fifteen deacons currently active will complete terms in 2006 and rotate from service for at least one year.

Nominate from one to fifteen persons. A list of eligible church members will be available at boxes located throughout the church.

Those not eligible for nomination include: members under 21 years of age; members of First Baptist Nashville for less than one year; currently active deacons; deacons for life; and ministerial staff members.

Nomination forms should be placed in the boxes no later than Sunday noon, September 24.

How To Nominate Online

(1) Beginning September 1, every church member with an active email address in our database will receive an email from the church with a link to the list of eligible members.

(2) Click the box next to as many as 15 names to nominate persons to serve as deacon.

(3) Click submit to process your selections. All responses are confidential.

(4) Online nominations will be accepted until Saturday, September 23.

ONLINE NOMINATIONS

The Deacon Nominee Selection Committee is pleased to add online participation in the 2007 deacon nomination process. Church members with computer access should find this method of nominating deacons convenient and user friendly.

As usual, lists of eligible members and nomination forms will be available in several locations around the church. If you use the online nomination process, please do not submit a paper nomination.
