Our elementary-aged children at First Baptist Nashville have the opportunity to play, learn, and grow together in a wide variety of ways.
Our First Kids participate in mission activities, learn about the Bible in fun ways and even explore their creative gifts … and share them with the congregation!
Sunday morning Bible study classes, taught at an age- and grade-appropriate level are available for all children and led by adults that are gifted and trained to teach them. Children in grades 1-3 meet in Rooms 351-353 and grades 4-6 meet in Rooms 451-453.
On Sunday nights from 5-7 p.m. during the Spring and Fall semesters, PreK 4s – Preteens (Grade 6) gain skills to memorize and apply the Word of God as they learn to navigate their way through the scriptures.
On Wednesday nights from 6:25-7:15, First Kids discover their place in God’s world as they explore exotic destinations, experience different cultures, and hear what missionaries are doing in North America and around the world.
Our fully-graded Children’s Choir program for children age 4 through Grade 6 teaches our children not just music skills, but Scripture memory and instrumental exploration as well. Both the Children’s Choir and the children’s handbell choir provide opportunities for our children to lead in worship.
Just because the school year ends doesn’t mean that our First Kids aren’t still active and learning! Vacation Bible School, Music Arts Camp and other events keep our children busy in the summer months.
